Hypnotik FX - Connecting the LED Strip (Both X-Pro and Audio Reactive)

1. Prepare the Controller

Before inserting any wires, ensure the Flip-Up Tabs on the terminal block are in the fully open (up) position. This clears the path for the wire to sit flush against the internal contacts.

2. Prepare the Wiring

To guarantee a stable electrical connection, your wiring must meet the following specifications:

• Wire Gauge: Use only 18-22 AWG wire.
• Stripping: Strip exactly 10mm of insulation from the end of the wire to expose the bare copper before connecting it to the "Strip" side of the controller.

3. Secure the Connection

Once the stripped wires are inserted into the terminal ports:

• Close the Flip-Up Tabs firmly.
• The Tug Test: Gently pull on each wire to ensure they are sturdy and won't slip out. A loose connection can cause flickering or heat build-up.

4. Connect the Power Supply

The Hypnotic FX offers flexible power options. You can provide power using one of two methods:

• Terminal Block: Connect via the Flip-Up Tabs (standard for hardwiring).
• Barrel Jack: Plug a compatible DC power adapter directly into the circular port.

5. Verify Power Status

After connecting your power source, check the Indicator Light on the face of the controller:

• Green/Blue Light: The controller is powered correctly and ready for use.
• No Light: Check your power source and polarity (positive/negative) connections.
