Strip Overview

Specification Value
Easy Name Zero-Dot Color + White
SKU HYP-FX-COB-784-RGBW
Technology COB (Chip-on-Board) — Zero-Dot
LED Density 784 LEDs per meter
Color Channels RGB + 2700K White
Roll Length 5 meters (16.4 ft)
Voltage 24 V DC
Addressing Digital, individually addressable

Terminal Connections

Controller Terminal Wire Strip Pad
+ (24 V out) Red + / VCC
(GND) Black / GND
DATA Green / Signal DIN / DATA IN
Always connect to the input end of the strip (marked IN or with an arrow pointing into the strip). The output end (OUT) is for chaining additional strips only.

Step-by-Step Connection

  1. Power off the controller and power supply.
  2. Identify the input end of the COB 784 strip — look for the IN marking or connector.
  3. Connect +24 V from the controller to the + pad on the strip.
  4. Connect GND from the controller to the pad on the strip.
  5. Connect the DATA output from the controller to the DIN pad on the strip.
  6. Ensure all connections are secure with no exposed conductors touching each other.
  7. Power on the controller.

Firmware Settings

After wiring, open the web UI and go to Settings → LED Preferences:

Setting Value
LED Type SK6812 RGBW
Color Order RGBW
Data Pin GPIO 13 (default)
LED Count 784 × (strip length in meters) — e.g., 3920 for a 5 m roll
Note: The COB 784 has both RGB and white channels. The white channel produces a warm 2700K output. You can mix RGB colour with white independently in the Effects and Colors tabs.
